In this tutorial I take pictures at the C: \ Program Files \ Adobe \ Adobe Photoshop CS3 \ Samples \ duck.tif
After all Select colors you like. I use the color red
activate the brush tool
switch mode hue
brush after the duck is in the image, the results will be like in the picture below
If you want to color gradation, switch the gradient tool
double click on the image below as
it will appear gradient editor
click and drag on the image area as you like.
